Class visitors

“Always try to be a little kinder than necessary.”

- James Barrie

Looking back to August 1996, I had an interview with Dr. Newton at Texas Tech School of Law.  I can recall taking a few prep classes for the LSAT.  In the end, my score was not good.   I was accepted to a few schools, but they were out of state, private and expensive.  I still think about how fun such an education would be.

A few days later I took my little brother and cousin to a class at the University.  I remember how excited they were, but I was excited too.  I was the first to get a University degree in my big family of cousins on my mother’s side.  I wanted them both to know it was possible.  JMD

    James,
I was the first person to go to college on either side of my family so I understand your thrill and desire to show your relatives that it is possible.

Got something to say?
