Doughty Endowment
In honor of my father and paternal relatives, I have created the Doughty Endowment Fund, a scholarship fund at Texas Tech University.
The scholarship is for first-generation minority students interested in broadcast journalism. Priority is given to graduates of the Upward Bound program and/or New Deal High School, located in New Deal, Texas, a small town north of Lubbock. I got a good education at New Deal High School, and I got into Tech Tech as a result of Upward Bound. This scholarship gives me the opportunity to thank the schools and program that gave me a good education and at the same time give other young minority students the benefits I received.
You can donate to the Doughty Endowment Account to aid students who just need a little help to start on the road to achieving their dreams.
